Website Terms of Use | Competition Terms and Conditions
This website ("FoodGod") is owned and operated by Neolux
Communications (“Neolux”) a business of Guy J Martin.
Your access to and your use of the information, materials, and
services provided on this website is conditional upon your compliance
and acceptance of these terms and conditions (“Terms”).
We recommend that you give them a read. Your use of the site will
mean that you accept these Terms.
We cannot guarantee that all the information on our site will
at all times be absolutely accurate, and occasionally, things
might need a bit of an update. As a result, we will not accept
any responsibility for your actions as a result of you having
a look around FoodGod.
FoodGod is all about information – and the information provided is for your dining convenience. While our procedures set out to achieve the highest possible levels of quality assurance, we make no warranties about the reliability, accuracy or completeness of any information you come across, or that it will be error free.
All reviews or information provided on FoodGod becomes and remains the property of FoodGod. Our name and logos are copyright and may not be used unless you first get our okay. You further agree that you won’t copy, modify, alter, publish, distribute, sell or offload any of the information you might come across, unless we say it is okay in the Terms, or if you specifically ask for it, and we say it is okay (i.e. we give our express permission).
Here at FoodGod, it is all about convenience, so during your
travels, you’ll undoubtedly come across links to other websites.
Note however that we don’t control any of those websites,
and unless we expressly state it, the fact that we might include
a link does not mean that we endorse or approve of the products
or services offered therein. Similarly, we will not accept liability
for your use or access to any of these websites. So check them
out closely, and like you would ours, check out their terms and
conditions too.
For the record, if you want to make any links from your website
to our FoodGod, please let us know.
We really dislike being framed as well, so unless you are viewing
us through an webmail link, or search engine, let us know the
website that is framing us.
You may have noticed this already, but here at FoodGod, we pride
ourselves on impartiality and being unbiased. As a result, we
do not, and will not, endorse any listing.
Put simply, that just would not be in the spirit of how we conduct
business at FoodGod, and for a similar reason, registered users
that work for a restaurant are expected to not review that same
restaurant. Users will be excluded and reviews removed from the
site if this is not followed, so we hope you can help us out on
that one, and be fair and reasonable.
Similarly, users employed by hotels that have restaurants as part
of the hotel, are advised not to review those restaurants.
Here at FoodGod, we consider your privacy to be very important, after all, it belongs to you. As a result, details of registered users will be kept private and will not be given to third parties, unless we check it out with you first. We may offer data in aggregate form, however, such as "25% of our members live in the northern suburbs of Melbourne", but there won't be any personally identifying information changing hands.
We may utilise a cookie from the front page of the site that records a referrer identification. This cookie used has the name 'ckref'. This cookie expires 30 days after it is set. We only use the cookie value to pre-fill the referrer field on the registration form. Only referrers that we know about have an id, otherwise there is no value set.
If you have not unchecked the "Keep me logged in" preference, 2 further cookies will also be set which keep you logged into the site between sessions. These cookies are called 'user' and 'pass' and store your userid, and an encrypted form of your password. They expire thirty days after they are set.
If you can check your cookie values from within your browser, you may see other cookies from 'foodgod.com' or 'www.foodgod.com' such as "PHPSESSID', but these are session cookies only and will expire as soon as you close your browser.
We live in a time of constant change. As a result, from time to time, we might need to make a few adjustments here and there. We reserve the right to amend, modify, add, delete or perhaps make corrections to the website at any time without notice.
If you believe that any of these terms has been violated, please use the information on the contact page to let us know. We take complaints very seriously and will work to resolve any disputes within 48 hours.
