A last minute drink in the city after work on a Friday resulted in one of the most delightful gastronomical experiences I've had for a long time. Situated on trendy Hardware Street, between Lonsdale & Lt Bourke Streets, this little cafe is an absolute gem. On a night when weather permits, this is the most gorgeous little street with vibrant atmosphere and non-stop activity. The risotto with pumpkin, parsnip and parmesan was simply delicious. Reasonably priced at $15.50, I haven't raved about a meal like this for a very long time. My dining partner ordered calamari as a main course, but unfortunately received the calamari salad instead. For $18.50 I would've sent it back but she was too hungry to wait! With a quaint jazz band playing not far from the cafe, one can almost feel like you're in a small European town. Friendly service, excellent meals, reasonable prices and the magnificent ambience undoubtedly create an evening to remember. Definitely one to recommend.
