Lucky Chans is really set up for the 'tourist' or yum cha 'uninitiated'.

Although the food is good and there is variety, decor was immaculate and staff ok - I just couldn't help feeling dis-satisfied as I walked out - mainly for it's poor value for money. I guess since I am asian - I feel like I 'know' what yum cha's about and it's ALL about the food (!) and I don't mind paying more for a yummy dish or meal ... but I feel that the prices of the dishes were not justified.

The location is great - right on Southbank and is lovely on a sunny Melbourne day and a good place to start your day off in the weekends.

The food was average - just what I expected - nothing special about it i.e. nothing really unique that would draw me back especially.

I was left with a feeling of 'something was lacking' for the $'s we paid - so I probably would not go back again.
