Nothing is more satisfying on a warm day, than a freshly made lemon sorbet (made with fresh lemon juice) by the water. If water-based gelato is not your thing, then try one of the milk-based delights in one of several standard, and not-so-standard flavours.

Limonetto is probably my favourite gelato place in all of Melbourne. Immaculately clean, with the gelato made fresh every day, it's well worth a visit, and they will happily provide samples of anything on offer. The quality is high enough to warrant ice-cream at any time, even on one of Melbourne's crisp winter nights.

If I've eaten elsewhere at New Quay, I'll skip the dessert of the venue, and head straight for Limonetto. Much cheaper, more satisfying and a fantastic way to cleanse the palate.
