I've heard about Bluecorn for a number of years now, and finally decided to book in for my flatmate and I to give it a try. As normal, it was a spur of the moment decision, and on a Saturday night I wasn't sure if we'd actually get a table, but while they were busy (a good sign) they managed to squeeze us in for 8pm.

Minimal signage meant I drive past it at first, but when we eventually found our way there it was the start of an enjoyable evening. We were seated straight away and couldn't wait to get stuck into the traditional (with a modern twist) Mexican food we picked from the enticing menu. My dining partner had 2 person buffet to himself, and I choose the chilli beef enchiladas with a side of plain corn chips in both yellow and blue varieties. There are familiar dish names here, like 'taco' and 'fajita' but they are far superior to the supermarket equivalents. We both wiped our plates clean, but then I noticed the presence of 'churros' on the specials board for dessert. Absolutely divine! Served with dips of melted chocolate, strawberry, and coffee mousse and lightly dusted with cinnamon and sugar, these are absolute musts.

All in all a great meal, which we were happy to pay a premium for (about $37 each with a drink) provided with good and tip-worthy service.
