Benito's is great for any meal. Hearty italian dishes with real finesse - fish, vegetables and salads are always brilliantly fresh and clean, while some of the meat offerings are more authentically Italian than what you get at a lot of places that claim 'Italian' in their name. There is real style to this food- I'm a great fan of the 'lasagne with suckling pork and pesto' that's been a stayer on the menu.

Breakfast is popular, and theirs is one of the best coffees in Melbourne. Our dinner forays have been successful also... but they do sometimes close a little early if everyon has left. The staff are on the ball, friendly and attentive.

The choice of wine is excellent and varied, drawing on Australian and Italian sources. If doing lunch, be sure to book- it's a small dining area and it gets full most days. All round, well recommended.
