The Great Provider should be a good match for FoodGod, if only by inference in the name. The prices for breakfast are reasonable, and the food is solid, not divine. Attentive wait staff with actual personalities adds to the experience, but on the occasion I visited, the breakfast shift seemed to be a little disorganised. The kitchen happily catered for my usually annoying special requests, and the chef came out to confirm what I wanted, and even asked if I would like the onions in my cheese and onion omelette to be cooked prior to the omelette or at the same time. A little extra attention I haven't experienced for breakfast before.
The restaurant looks out onto St Kilda marina where you can see the rich and not-so-famous attend to their boats. Not a captivating view by any means, but better than a brick wall.
Overall a pleasant experience for breaky which has enticed me to come back again for lunch or dinner.
