Member Review by AndrewSubmitted January, 2006 You always got to wait for a table at Automatic - there are no bookings, so you just got to turn up and take the punt. Having said that since the location is so central - it gets pretty busy and have been told on more than one occasion that the wait will be up to 45 mins!
But once you get a table - the experience is a good one. many choices on the menu and there is certainly an atmosphere - it can get really loud and it does make it hard to have intimate table conversation!
Food was great and reasonably priced considering the location.
Member Review by MarilenaSubmitted June, 2005 This is a place I will not be going back. Maybe it is the time that we went (late on a Saturday evening) but both the service and the food quality left much to be desired. For starters, we froze to death, and we were sitting inside. So we asked whether we could move further in the restaurant, and we were told no, because they were going to close that area as soon as the customers that were sitting there left. As for the food, we had the sweet calzones, and the taste was substandard. The chocolate sauce tasted too bitter for my liking, and the flavours did not seem balanced.
The views are magnificent, I give you that, but nothing else. Member Review by JOJO O'ConnellSubmitted January, 2005 Now this place I like. Modern, sexy restaurant or bar I'm not sure.We went on a Friday night, place was packed, and while we were late (yikes!) the waiter made sure he held our table for us. I chose the lamb kebabs as a main. Spicy in all the right ways, and presentation flawless, with my friends salivating at my choice. Friends had pizzas, topped to the hilt and for people who usually scoff pizza, they weren't to be left disappointed. The vibe is very loud, and it's a great place to impress friends/out of towners with the modern decor. Service was attentive and vodka and cranberries made by people who know how. It's good when waiters arent afraid to have a laugh with you.
