Seems to be a change in style at this place judging by the last review, change of management perhaps?
When I was there in late January it was very much a casual, cafe style menu with some European influenced dishes.
Hungover, I was looking to get me firing again and the gluttons feast caught my eye, fried eggs (poached and scrambled also available) on toast with just about all of the extras listed on their menu for about $15!
Not a bad way to start the day apart from the few short blacks I had, and what made it better was that the second one was free, not sure why but the waiter brought it over without me asking and said it was a different blend this time, great coffee by the way.
Next time i've got a monster hangover i'll know where to go.

My wife and I find Cafe Beelzebub a quiet retreat for a late lunch or evening meal.
The Cafe is small with casual decoration of iron work and paintings. On arrival we received water without asking and menus promptly as we sat down. There was no pressure on ordering or hurry up to leave when finished, a very lay back and relaxing attitude did a lot to make us feel relaxed.
Takeaway was available but not an encumbrance on the restaurant feel.

Parking in Fitzroy is always a concern with meter parking available on Smith street and surrounds.

The Menu is loosely Greek with a few alacart standards, although the lunch menu is small the specials board always has 6 or more attractive suggestions and are prepared well and presented neatly. There is no evidence of bagged sauces all of which appear to be made in house. The wine list is limited and no expensive wines are available.
Pricing for two with a bottle of wine is around $30.00 - $50.00

For a cafe styled restaurant Beelzebub did not disappoint and left us satisfied and keen to return which we do often.

There is a function room (the whole top floor) which is ideal for work or party type functions, a bar upstairs is manned for those occasions. The access to the upstairs in by the kitchen entrance and is not wonderful.

Cafe Beelzebub is open all days apart from Monday and will close early if no patrons.
