The St Arnou has become The Brux. The upstairs dining room has morphed into a function room. The venue is classy pub, and is quite busy post 5:00 PM, and for lunch most days - bookings recommended for Friday lunch. The menu is bistro/pub fare with daily specials. Examples - lamb salad, fish and chips, steak sandwich, chicken sandwich, calamari, etc. Prices range from $10-19 for sandwiches/mains. I have had most everything on the menu at least once, over 2 years, and have never been disappointed.

The microbrew Kildara ale is as close as any Aussie brew to fine Irish/English ale, it is a must try if you like smooth and creamy ales. The wine list is not extensive, but a decent range. While food is good value, in my opinion the beverages are on the higher side, similarly to many establishments on the Spencer Street side of the CBD.

Mon - Sat from lunch through dinner. Most cards. Counter order. Timely service. Can be on the noisy side.

This is a fabulous place to catch up with friends for dinner or lunch. It is very reasonably priced and the quantities generous.

Loads of beers to try and a very acceptable wine list too.

The music can be a bit loud but the staff were very amenable when asked to turn it down a bit!

Things are a bit sparse at this end of town, especially for this quality of food - call it an upmarket and much pleasanter pub meal!
