100% Please note: The reviews below are more than 12 months old. Member Review by GarySubmitted June, 2009 Predictable, not pretentious or luxurious, but always a positive experience... At Saigon Inn the original Vietnamese rice paper roll, featuring roast pork and prawns, continues to be a masterpiece. If you like this dish, go for it.
The Vietnamese stir fries are great - we go for the garlic prawns (including delicious Veggies) like there's no tomorrow. The seafood hotpot is a standout also. They can get a bit frazzled when the numbers rise but the food is always excellent and fresh. Some dishes are a little more chilli-hot than you find in some Vietnamese, for example the satay - we like that! You can BYO wine but the reasonably priced wine list means it's hardly worth bothering to take one in.
A clean and basic dining room with friendly staff, there is nothing up-market about Saigon Inn. Very reasonably priced, a good visit for a quick lunch or an all-in multi course dinner. I'm a Vietnamese food fan who is sometimes disappopinted by Saigon Inn's competition. But this place doesn't let me down... recommended! Historical Review by GarySubmitted May, 2006 The original Vietnamese rice paper roll, featuring roast pork and prawns, continues to be a masterpiece at Saigon Inn. If you like this dish, I haven't had a better one anywhere and recommend that you really go for it. I've been known to rock up with friends for lunch and simply order two serves of the rolls just for me.
The vietnamese stir fries are a great delicacy- we go for the garlic prawns (including delicious Veggies) like there's no tomorrow. An interesting feature dish is a slab of roast duck with a sesame prawn topping served on a sizzle plate with steaming sauce all over it- some love it, some aren't sure but your intrigue will be met with a dish you won't forget.

You can BYO wine but the reasonably priced bottle of chilled Pewsey Vale riesling on their wine list is so perfect with the cuisine that it's hardly worth bothering taking one in.
