On a balmy Melbourne night, we ventured to Waterfront City to try this new restaurant with great expectations.

Fish has an extensive menu of seafood and non seafood dishes with a wide selection to choose from. We opted for the Two Tier Seafood Fantasy at $85 per person! It was very impressive with a selection of hot and cold oysters, prawns, scallops, moreton bay bugs, mussels and a whole crayfish plus a whole fish. The scallops, mussels and oysters, whilst quite pleasant, were small which was a shame.

But the rest was very good, especially the cray. This platter does not come with any sides such as salad or chips so you need to order these seperately. This could easily feed three which would cut the cost down a bit. The garlic bread to start was nothing to write home about.

The service was disappointing - simple things like having to ask for water three times and not having a finger bowl as this is very hands on. They do need to work on this as for the price, you expect more.

This is not a cheap restaurant and although the food was good, it lacked atmosphere. Go if you feel like spending up for quite a good meal.
