A New name for and old face in Carlise Street directly opposite the famous GLICKS. Some friends and I went to Piper last week for dinner and were surprised in many ways.

Firstly we were greeted at the door by none other than Ritchie from The Secret Life of Us, secondly we were shocked to see only 4 items to choose from Entree and then another 4 for Main Course !! and very little in the way of specials

But lastly and most importantly the quality of the food was excellent.

I highly commend the owner Jeff on his efforts in preparing a casual style restaurant which focuses on quality dishes however he needs to sit down and re-think the menu which has very little for those who do not eat meat or those like variety. The party of 4 sitting beside us actually left after perusing the menu !

Service was good, and we were even given a free shot of carrot soup to make up for the fact that one item on the menu was not available which we wanted to order. The coffees a little cold so avoid and head elsewhere after dinner - my tip would be PAUSE just up the road.

All in all worth a try but perhaps wait a few weeks as the menu is apparently being extended.
