100% Please note: The reviews below are more than 12 months old. Member Review by GarySubmitted March, 2008 Lemnos Taverna keeps getting better. The balance between flavours and textures and the absence of distractions in the food equals any good Greek restaurant.
Lemnos serves plentiful, top quality Greek food with heaps of hospitality. I'm a regular and have taken numerous friends along, all of whom have shared my enthusiasm.
The seafood at last visit was bountiful and fresh. You won't get better dips anywhere.
If you are starving and there's two or more of you, just say 'banquet.' It's more than ample, and delicious.
All is well presented, clean, wholesome and pure. The real olive oil blends in perfectly, always finishing clean in the mouth unlike some of the fatty mediterranean style food in lesser premises.
Good red and white wine are always available at a reasonable price, and the byo wine option works well (with no corkage - far from the $10 some places charge these days).
Mains are typically $15 - 24. All the prices are reasonable (except the Greek salad, at $9 as a side dish - but included in the price of the excellent platters and banquet). Very good dishes on the menu include quail, octopus and (of course) gyros and kebabs.
A small dessert plate will often wander out with no order required... when the service slows a little (rare as this is), a bit of complementary taramosalata has been known to appear.
If it's your thing, belly dancing features on Friday and Saturday nights. it's not my taste.
Make sure you book. Lemnos does fill up, and often through the week. Our last visit was a Tuesday and it was hard to see an empty seat. I've been there over the years with four owners. Theo and Stefano are the best yet. Well recommended.

After a bit of a rough patch Lemnos is lifting its game again. I'm a regular and can assure you that these guys are for real about the food and hospitality.

If it's your thing, belly dancing features on Friday and Saturday nights. Personally I prefer the garfish.
