I Came to Al Porto Veccio for a business lunch with a consultant from Canberra (Geoff). The restaurant is spacious with good use of an existing building, it does not take you away to Italy though. On arrival we received water without asking and menus promptly as we sat down. There was no pressure on ordering or hurry up to leave when finished, a very good experience.

Parking in Williamstown is busy but manageable with ample meter parking available on the street.

The Menu is Italian and a fair variety of each dish main is presented. Our different meals of veal were presented well and the cuisine was thoughtful and imaginative. There is no evidence of bagged sauces all of which appear to be made in house.
The wine list is smart, suitable, well-priced domestic list.

Pricing for two with a bottle of wine is around $60.00 - $80.00

For an Italian styled restaurant Al Porto Veccio did not disappoint although we were witness to a hair in the soup moment on the table next to us.
