Admittedly, the last time I visited Murasaki was in 2001, so my experience is a little outdated. The menu has many of the standard Japanese dishes for those not wanting to be too adventurous (e.g. Beef Teriyaki) as well as some more interesting selections like Crocodile (delicious). The service is fantastic, and even though I was part of a group of over 14 people, the meals came out for everyone very close together.
As you would expect, they serve Saki (both Hot and Cold) and they have selected well. At no time since have I had Saki as good.

Now, they have Tatami rooms, where you can get an even better experience, sitting low to the floor in a private area. Using a private Tatami room makes you feel like an Emperor, and this coupled with the great food and excellent service would make Murasaki a highly recommended place to visit for that special occasion with a difference.
