Torimatsu is a great find in an area which is sorely lacking good restaurants and pubs. The service was efficient and friendly and the staff will ensure if you are on a tight timeframe that you get out on time or close to it.

The food is excellent with all the dishes we tried in our party of 9 very well received.

Whilst it can be a little noisy during the day, it is not to the point where you are unable to hear your companions. But this is to be expected as many of their patrons have come in for a great meal with workmates.

First off the service was swift and stylish. There was even an offer to store an over coat in a cloakroom.

The food was exceptional, from the quite large, well presented, bento boxes to the freshness and layout of the delicious sushi and sashimi plate. My colleagues were even asked if how they wanted their teriyaki steak, rare, medium rare or well done. Is was all very pleasing to the eye as well as the palette

There was a burnt smell in the air but we where seated beneath a teppanyaki exhaust vent, this was the only detractor of the dining experience.

One thing you must remember if a group (more than 6) of you wish to experience this fine bastion of Japanese cuisine, Torimatsu has a policy of requesting you to pre-order before your arrive for your booking.
